5 Features Every CBD Business Should Seek in a Payment Processor

So you want to start or expand a CBD business? Get in line.

The global CBD (cannabidiol) market was valued at $2.8 billion in 2020 and could increase to as much as $13.4 billion by 2028, according to a February 2021 report from Grandview Research. This growth is being fueled by increasing demand for CBD-based health and wellness products and more favorable government regulation of CBD production and distribution.

To join that booming market, you need to offer your customers easy ways to pay for the products you sell. The catch? Because of the nature of their business, it can be tough for CBD sellers to get a merchant account that allows for payment card processing. You can’t accept payment by credit or debit card without a merchant account.
